George was also a member of the Milford Democratic Town Committee for 20 years, and a 12-year member (6 years as President) of the Milford Library Board. He played hockey, sporadically for 34 years and was proud to earn the designation, “Goal a Game” in the 35 and older league.
George had a love for nature and looked forward to weekends at the summer cottage spent with family and friends fishing, swimming and sailing. His love of sailing led him to organize the “Red Cedar Lake Sailboat Races” that have taken place every Sunday morning during the summer months for over 25 years.
George was an avid golfer and he and Kay spent many golf vacations with friends in Bermuda, Cape Cod, Florida, Myrtle Beach and Hawaii.
Most of all, George loved his family. He is survived by four sons, two daughters and a special niece: George E. Curtin, III and his wife Susan, Michael T.
