Gene Englehart, 75, of Tallahassee, passed away Tuesday, March 7, 2017, in Jacksonville. A son of the late Omer Charles “Pat” Englehart and Grace Knowles Englehart, he was born December 18, 1941, in Cape Girardeau, Missouri. He was an electrician and family man who served in the United States Army. He loved cars, especially his ’59 Vette, working and helping others. He also loved all animals, especially his dog “Annie”.

He is survived by his wife, Gladys C. Englehart; children, Donna (Clair) Collins, Denise (Don) Kilinski and Dawn (Brian) Wilder; grandchildren, Michael, Jennifer, Heather, Rachel, Alex, Sam, Logan, Ryan and Emily; and five great-grandchildren. He is also survived by a sister, Beverly (Jim) Ruppersberger. Preceding him in death are his mother, Grace Knowles Robinson, stepfather, Truman Robinson, and his beloved granny, Myrtle Knowles.
