Gasparo Mascolo, age 91, of Milford, CT died Friday, February 19, 2010. He was born August 19, 1918 in Stamford, CT. He was the son of the late Joseph and Felicia Donnarummo Mascolo of Ansonia, CT. Gasparo married his beloved wife, Marjorie Mascolo on January 1, 1945. He is survived by their children Raymond Mascola of Westford, MA and Valerie Fuller of Danbury, CT and her husband, Steve Fuller. Gasparo is also survived by four grandchildren and two great grandchildren. The grandchildren are Andrew Mascola, Meghan Fuller, Jonathan Fuller and Kathryn Catalano. The great granddaughters are Alexandra Mascola, and Polly Anne Fuller. Gasparo was a veteran of US Army in World War II from March 1943 to March 1946. He served as an Entertainment Specialist and got the nickname “Rick”. He served in England, France and Germany. He is survived by his brother, Vincent Mascolo of New Haven and predeceased by his brother, Nicholas Mascolo, formerly of Ansonia.
Rick was an accomplished violinist who studied at the Yale School of Music.
