Fred W. Hubbard, 88, of Tallahassee, passed away January 4, 2016. The son of the late Clyde Hubbard and Gladys Fryman, he was born April 15, 1927, in Danville, Illinois. He served his country in the US Navy during World War II and retired from Centel as an Automatic Equipment Manager. A faithful member of Immanuel Baptist Church, he was also a member of the American Legion and was past President of the Bowling Association. He enjoyed bowling and golfing, and in 2014, he participated in the Honor Flight to Washington, DC.

He is survived by his son, Jerry (Carol) Hubbard; grandchildren, Melissa (Keith) Lehmann, Michael Hubbard, Marty (Kimee) Hubbard; Patty Thurman, Kelly Mears, Jammie (Sherra) Mears, Kevin (Karen) Mears; numerous great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren; and a sister, Rosetta (Marvin) Smith. Preceding him in death are his parents; wife, Marian Hubbard; sister, Barbara Merrill; and a grandson-in-law, Chris Thurman.
