Fred J. Kraus age 82 of Palos Heights. Beloved Husband of the Late Marlyn C. Kraus nee Miller. Loving Father of Keith (Linda), Ken, Craig (Yuko), & Karyn (Jim) Rohder. Grandfather of Amelia & Dimitri Kraus, Lily & Louie Kraus, and Coltin, Carson & Megan Rohder. Brother of Carolyn ( Al ) Sigmund.
Loving and dedicated husband, father, grandfather, brother and son. Family meant everything. Married to Schurz high-school sweetheart and best friend, Marlyn for 57 years. A proud graduate of the University of Illinois in Food Science, Fred went on to have a long career at Continental Can Company/Crown Cork & Seal after time in the Service. Fred designed a house in the Westgate neighborhood of Palos Heights back when it was still fields. He enjoyed tinkering and fixing things. Fred will be greatly missed.
