MARTIN Enos Philip, 94, of Milford passed away on Tuesday, March 29, 2011 in CT Hospice with his  children at his side. He was born January 20, 1917 in Thomaston, Ct  and has been a long time resident of Milford. He was a United States Army veteran having served during World War  II. Enos  was a licensed  surveyor until his retirement in 1987, and he was a  devoted husband, father and PopPop. He was a man of few words, but captivated and had the respect of many. For those who had the privilege of knowing him,   enjoyed him for his humor, intellect, generosity, loyalty and for a work ethic that inspired one to better themselves and never accept anything in life as “good enough.” He enjoyed being out doors, working out doors,  working on cars , playing golf, horse races, trips to the casino, and late night card games with the family.  He was preceded in death by his mother, Jane Young Martin, father Bernard Philip Martin and 3 sisters, Irene D’Andrea,  Bernice Martin , Flora Smith and beloved nephew Charles “Chuck” O’Neil.  Enos  is survived by his loving wife of  71 years,  Doris  Martin; four sons and two daughters, Wayne Martin (Dtr inlaw JoEllen) of Milford, Ronald Martin (Dtr inlaw  Jane) of FLA, Thomas Martin of West Haven, Eileen Lawler (son inlaw Mike) of Milford, Jane Mitola of Milford and Bernard Martin of Milford. He is also survived by  his loving thirteen grandchildren, nineteen great grandchildren,  and several nieces and nephews.
