Edward Lee Wynn peacefully transitioned to be with his Heavenly Father on March 27, 2021, surrounded by his family in Tallahassee, FL at the age of 83.
Ed is survived by his loving wife of 59 years, Freda Walker Wynn; children, Ed Wynn Jr. (Kelli) of Tallahassee and Becky Wynn James (Jim) of Indian Land, SC; four grandchildren, Colin James (CJay) of Indian Land, SC, Christine James Turner (Earl) of Charlotte, NC, Jonathan Wynn of Tallahassee, and Andrew Wynn of Tallahassee; and one great-granddaughter, Kate Turner of Charlotte, NC; two sisters, Marjie Sinclair of Murrayville, GA and Claudia Shipp (Bill) of Overlook, KS.
He is preceded in death by his parents and his brother, Jim. Ed was born on October 15, 1937, in Covington, KY. He grew up in Cincinnati, OH; served in the Air Force after High School; met his wife Freda and moved to Tallahassee, FL in 1961. He had a successful career with IBM for 30 years. He was a loving and devoted husband, father, and grandfather. He found great joy in spending time with his family. His hobbies included sailing, camping, traveling, flying, photography, and cars.
