Edward Gerald Banks, age 90, longtime resident of Milford and beloved husband to the late Frances Williams Banks, passed away on Monday, September 26, 2011 at Golden Hill Health Care Center. Born on March 15, 1921 in Milford, he was the son of the late Jesse and Myrtle Griswold Banks. Ed served with pride and honor in the US Army during WWII in the Pacific. Prior to his retirement, Ed worked in maintenance for Burndy Corp and SAAB. He met his wife as a motorcycle enthusiast who shared his interest. He enjoyed trains and animals. Ed was a loving and caring father and grandfather who will be greatly missed.
He is survived by a daughter, Martha Banks of Milford, two sons Brian and Kevin Banks and two grandsons, Joshua and Jeffrey Banks.
