Douglas Byron Smith, 58, of Tallahassee, peacefully passed away Saturday, January 2, 2016, while surrounded by his loving family. He was born May 28, 1957, in Buffalo, New York, to the late Delone Byron Smith and Rita Mary Mudrowski Smith. He was a supervisor with Super Value. An avid outdoorsman, he enjoyed hunting and fishing. His favorite pastime was spending time with his grandkids and horses.
Survivors include his wife of 20 years, Catherine Cleveland Smith; daughter, Nichole Surie Smith Thaxton (Tommy); stepdaughters, Mallory Dianna Crum Taylor (James), Megan Danielle Crum and Nora Triplet (Chad); grandchildren, Ava Lynn Rennebu, Addison Lee Rennebu and Brityn Roberts; brothers, Gary Smith (Vicky) and Robert Smith; and a sister, Patricia Smith. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
