Donald was born on October 4. 1963 to Donald and Mary Byrdsong in Indianapolis, IN

Donald received his early education in Indianapolis before the family moved to San Francisco Bay area, but later returned to Indiana where he finished his high school education at Arlington High School as a member of the National Honors Society. During his senior year he was known in the community for his “I Have A Dream” speech by Martin Luther King Jr.

After high school Donald returned to California where he attended Skyline College and join the Army Reserves.

In 1996 Donald met Sabrina Williams and they wed and with this union he gained another son, Larry Smith.

On September 8, 2022, after a long battle with his illness, his work was done here and was called back home to God.

Donald leaves to cherish him, his wife and life partner of 26 years, Sabrina Byrdsong, sons Drew (Chanel) of Fairfield, CA, Corey (Amanda) of Fairfield, CA. Brandon (Mariah) of Louisville, KY, Donovan of Indianapolis, IN, and Larry (Ariel) of Indianapolis, IN. Parents Donald and Mary Byrdsong of Indianapolis, IN. Sisters, Kara (Kenneth), Tara (Ralph), Danielle, and Angela (Jeffrey).  Lakisha (Lucky) of San Francisco, CA. Brother Adolphus (Miko) of Atlanta GA, Deon Craig, and Brian of Los Angeles, CA. Grandkids Olivia, Orlando, Aaliyana, and Devine all of California. A host of nieces, nephews, cousins, family and friends. Proceeding him death are brothers Damon of Indianapolis and Eric of Los Angeles, CA.
