Dale “Chip” Lee lost a short battle with cancer on August 11, 2019, at Tallahassee Memorial HealthCare, while surrounded by his loving family. Born in Miami, Florida on June 9, 1947, he was the son of the late Donald and Eleanor Campbell Lee. He served his country in the United States Army National Guard and had retired as a Regional Sales Manager for Rubberseal after many years of service. He previously lived in Hendersonville, North Carolina and Eustis, Florida. Chip met Kathy at the home of Skip and Shay Gibson, their mutual friends. In his spare time, he enjoyed fishing, traveling the beautiful United States, watching FSU sports, but most importantly, he truly adored doting on his grandchildren who will forever cherish the time they spent with him. Survivors include his wife of almost 22 years, Kathy Halligan Lee; children, Scott (Tiffany) Lee of Grand Island, Florida, Jamie (Kerry) Wilkie of Hendersonville; stepdaughters, Kelli Lee Holder and Erin (Jason) DeGroff of Tallahassee; grandchildren, Lauren Wilkie, Connor, Emmy, and Aiden Lee, Kael Michael Griffin and Katelyn and Maddox DeGroff; and his brothers, Chris (Maureen), Donald (Kathy), and Gary (Pat) Lee. In addition, he is survived by his sisters-in-law Kerri and Maureen Halligan and Dana West; and brothers-in-law, Jet and Michael (Lori) Halligan. His nephews include: Gary (Tamera), Clark (Jill), Ryan (Angie) and Mark Lee, Michael (Kim) McGonagle, C. J. Halligan and Andrew (Deanna) Viloudaki. Nieces include: Susannah (Kevin) Fulp, Amy (Dave) Fielding, Colleen (Gerry) McGonagle, Katie Halligan, Sarah and Kiley Halligan, and Briagh (Hao) Viloudaki-Yu. He is also survived by numerous extended family members and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, Max Lee (nephew), and Kevin Halligan (brother-in-law). Although we are heartbroken to lose such a special man, Chip’s kind and loving spirit will continue to live on in each of us.
