Mr. Charlie McCauley passed away Sunday, July 17, 2022.
On May 30, 1947, Charlie McCauley was born to the late James and Savannah McCauley in Hillsborough County, Tampa, Florida.
He was a resident of Tampa for 75 years and attended Middleton High School graduating in 1965. After high school, he joined the Unites States Army where he was stationed in the “Old Guard Unit” 3rd U.S. Infantry Regiment at Fort Myer, Virginia. After serving two years in the armed forces, he moved back to Tampa where he ventured in auto mechanics, after a few life choices he settled in as an entrepreneur in carpentry and landscaping where he loved making wood works with his hands, as well as landscaping for the community.
He was preceded in death by: his parents; wife, Patricia McCauley; sisters, Vera Mae Bass, and Mary McCauley; and brother, Clarence Guinyard.
He leaves to cherish his memory: sons, Keith Antoine McCauley (Paula), and Craig Gerod McCauley; grandchildren, Britney, Cratiana, Keith II, Shaquila, and Shaquone; sisters, Lula Canty (Eddie), Frankie Nelson (James), Elizabeth Bucklin (Walter), and Beaurie Pearson (Rogier); brothers, Eddie Harrold (Betty), Willie Guinyard (Ethel), James McCauley (Rose), and Oscar McCauley; special friend, Paula Dance; 7 great grands; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
