Charles W. Hines, Sr. passed away Friday, September 15, 2015, while in the care of Big Bend Hospice. He was a loving and dedicated husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle and friend. Born in Shreveport, LA., Charlie, as he was known, moved to Tallahassee and later Gainesville to study Mechanical Engineering. For decades he had a local firm in Tallahassee, Hines Hartman & Associates, whose design and construction imprint can be seen all over the city in myriad state and local government buildings. He is survived by his wife of 45 years, Susie; as well as his daughter, Saree’; and son, Chad. He also had three beautiful grandchildren, Hannah, Ansley and Cadie and three loving sisters, Marcia, Janet and Terry. His nearest sister in age, Sandra, had previously passed. He will always be loved. May he rest in peace.
