Cauly Bee Huggins was born January 27, 1921, in Lakeland, Florida and went to be with his Lord on July 10, 2015 in Tallahassee, Florida.

He was one of 13 children. At the age of 14, while plowing a field and remembering a hymn about the precious hand of Jesus, he placed his own hand in the Savior’s and never let go. This began a lifelong commitment to Jesus Christ which shaped the way he lived the next 80 years. At age 19, he joined the army and was one of the first soldiers stationed at Dale Mabry Field in Tallahassee, Florida. He was deployed to England in 1943, three months after he married Lorraine DeClercq. He served in England, France, and Germany before the war ended. He owned and operated Huggins Business Machines from 1960 to 1980. In his retirement, he traveled extensively, gardened, and helped build Tri-State Christian Camp and the Christian Campus House.

He was a long time member of the Civitan Club, a past president of the One Hundred Club, and a member of First Christian Church since 1942. He and Lorraine were married 72 years and have four children: Martie Reeves (Kent), Melanie Huggins, Tony Huggins (Karen), Janet Holland (Mike), 8 grandchildren, and 10 great grandchildren, most of whom live on Huggins Hill. He always felt blessed and blessed many others.
