Mr. Day was born March 19, 1935, in Menlo, GA, son of the late Alfred Brooks Day and Annie Myrtle Hammonds Day. He was Baptist by faith, and prior to his retirement, worked as a self-employed automotive detailer. In addition to his parents, Mr. Day was preceded in death by his brothers, Clyde Day and Jim Day.
