Carey L. “Red” Brogdon was born in Brinson, GA on May 21, 1935. He was one of 9 children of Louie and Audrey Brogdon. He married his teenage sweetheart, Marie Avery in June of 1958, celebrating 62 years together. Red gave his life to Christ at a young child and held to the faith to the end. He and his wife, Marie, are charter members of Woodrun Baptist Church with Red being a deacon since the beginning. Red went home to be with the Lord on September 12, 2017. He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, James, Carl and Charles; and sisters, Doris, Gladys and Lucille. He is survived by his wife, Marie; sons, Clint (wife Lauren) and Clay; special daughter, Neysa; grandsons, Matthew, Nathan and Trenton; brother, Thomas; sister, Thelma; and a host of cousins, nieces and nephews.
