Ben Joseph Willett Sr. affectionately known as “Benzo” was born July 16, 1961 in Morganfield, Kentucky to Betty Wilson & Silvester Willett.
Ben accepted Christ into his life at an early age. He was raised on the Westside of Indianapolis, in Haughville. He received his childhood education from School #52. Ben later attended George Washington High School, before receiving his GED.
Benzo was always genuinely loving & overly protective of his family and friends. His ambitious hustling ways started as a young man cutting hair. Leading him into a legacy of Entrepreneurship. Ben spent the last several years working as a machine operator for Pinnacle Oil & Global Plastics. Benzo lived by strong values, morals, and principles. In which he was respected and loved by many for. Benzo’s cool, laid-back, stylish spirit will truly be missed.
Ben Willett Sr. departed this life on June 21, 2022 at the tender age of 60. He was preceded in death by his parents; Betty Wilson Silvester Willett, sister; Sylvia Wilson-Moore, nephew; Jaudon Goodall, Special Friend YaQuana Johnson.
Ben leaves to cherish his memory his children, son; Ben Willett Jr., daughters; Yvette Willett, Darling Willett, Alicia Willett and step children Vickie & Dustin who he took in as his own. Seven grand-children Jashawn, Ben III, Kemoni, Tony , Jamiah, Journey, Destiny. One great-grandchild Kartier. Nine Siblings; Robert Wilson, Veloise Wilson, Gloria Wilson, Greg Willett, Martha Wilson & James Savage, Gary Wilson, & Gwendolyn Rose. A host of nieces,nephews & friends whom he shared a unique bond
