Waterbury — Mr. Arnaldo Gonzalez, 48, of Savings Street, died Tuesday as he was walking to work at the polls for election day. He was always willing to help people in need.

Arnaldo was born on August 19, 1962, in Waterbury, son to Petra Gonzalez of Waterbury and the late Luis A. Gonzalez. He was a graduate of Wilby High School and was last employed as a manager in the food industry. Arnaldo was very involved in the community, as he volunteered his time helping to serve at the food kitchen and at the St. Vincent DePaul Society. Arnaldo gave a lending hand with tasks that were too difficult for others, but hart-warming to him.

Arnaldo is survived by his mother Petra, two brothers, Efrain Gonzalez, Alberto Gonzalez, four sisters, Carmen Rodriguez, Marian Huertas, Idalia Gonzalez, Madeline Quinnones, all of Waterbury and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by two sisters, Zoriada and Migdalia Gonzalez.
