Antone “Tony” Andrade, 85, of Milford, beloved husband of Carmine “Connie” Silva Andrade, passed away peacefully at home on Friday, October 22, 2010. Son of the late Manuel and Jessuina Perreira Andrade, he was born on July 18, 1925 in New Bedford, MA.
Tony was a Lance Corporal in the US Marine Corp during WWII, serving in the Philippines. He and his brothers built and owned the County Shopping Center in Freetown, MA for many years. Tony also worked for Yellow Freight and was a Teamster for Local # 448. He was an active member of the VFW Post 7788 in addition to being a member of the St. Mary’s Men’s Club, 50+ Club at St.
He leaves to cherish his memory his wife Connie of 64 years, Tony is survived by his daughter Sharon Giglio and her husband Frank of Branford, two grandsons Sean Lewis of Milford and Christopher Lewis of Bridgeport and many loving nieces and nephews. He is predeceased by Eliza Correa, Manuel Andrade, Joseph Andrade, Mary Paulo, Frank Andrade and James Andrade.
