Angelo Anthony Paternostro passed away at the age of 76 on March 22nd 2009 after a short illness. He was preceded in death by his father Anthony Joseph Paternostro and his mother Antoinette Cuccia. A beloved husband, father, grandfather, and brother, he is survived by his wife Mary Ann Arrigo Paternostro, his two sons Michael and Tony Paternostro (wife Donna Cusimano Paternostro), grandson’s Michael and David Paternostro, and his two brothers Joseph and Anthony Paternostro (wives Pat and Sharon) as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
He was a proud veteran of the U. S. Marine Corps, after which he attended Tulane University on a football scholarship. A successful businessman in partnership with his two brothers, he was also an avid hunter and fisherman. He was past-president of the Kiwanis Club and a charter member of the Italian American Marching Club. Angelo was a student of world history and enjoyed traveling extensively with his wife.
Above all his other accomplishments he most cherished his deep relationships with his family and friends. His life was marked by strength, passion, generosity, great love, and a zest for life. It was these qualities that touched the lives of all who knew him.
