Mr. Adrian Laverne Williams, age 91 of Louisville passed away Sunday, September 28, 2014 in a Dothan hospital.
Mr, Laverne was a quiet, gentle and a man who loved a simple life.
He is survived by his two loving daughters, Dianne Williams and Annie Lou Williams, both of Louisville.
Mr. Williams farmed until 1955. After that he had many different jobs. He worked at the Clio Bottling Co., measured land in Barbour County, worked with the Barbour County Board of Education painting schools. During his time of painting, he painted 23 churches and countless homes in the area. He owned and ran Williams Grocery Store in Clio for 3 years.
He was married for 61 years to Mary Hagler Williams. She preceded him in death in 2006. He was also preceded by his brother, Robert Warren Williams, Jr. and sister, Elmer Rhea Abercrombie.
His latter years were spent enjoying watching college football (both Alabama and Auburn), watching the Atlanta Braves baseball, walking, cutting grass on his riding lawn mower, and growing vegetables in his backyard.
