Moses James Hatcherson, was born on September 11, 1943, in Baldwin, Louisiana; the third child, and second son of Albert and Dorothy Hatcherson.

He joined the Navy in 1963. While attending a wedding, he met and married the love of his life, Jeanette Sinegal; they were married on April 11, 1964. To this union, one child was born, Stephanie Renee. After 4 years in the Navy, he retired and immediately started working for Pacific Southwest Airlines and worked for the company, even after they were bought by US Airways as a machinist. He prided himself in doing the job correctly the first time. After 32 years he retired from Us Airways.

When his health wouldn’t allow him to share the gospel with others, he would call people to encourage them to keep up the fight. On January 29, 2022, the Lord called him home to rest. He was preceded in death by his loving wife Jeanette, his parents, Albert and Dorothy Hatcherson, his brothers, Albert Phillip Hatcherson (Lucille), Nathaniel (Balladette) Hatcherson, his sisters, Ida Mae Moton, and Alzena Guy (Charles). He leaves behind to cherish his memories, his daughter, Stephanie Thomas, 3 grandchildren, Antonio Harris, Devin, and Eryca Thomas, two sisters, Alice Reed (James) and Brenda Prejean (Paul), nieces, nephews, cousins, a host of family and friends who will miss him, his counsel, his singing, his preaching, and his teaching.

“Thou shalt guide me with Thy counsel, and afterward receive me to glory.” Psalm 73:24
