Morris Ray, age 64, passed away on September 11, 2023. He was born January 1, 1959, to Eugene Ray and Rebecca Ashley Ray.
Morris worked for Fogle Brothers, Guinyard Brick Company, and Transtel of Pelion from which he retired due to health reasons. He remained active by pressure washing, cutting yards and maintaining his landscaping business.
Morris was a faithful member of Darian Baptist Church where he served as an usher and kept the grounds of the church up to date. He was always willing to perform any other duties as needed for the church.
Morris graduated from Pelion High School. He will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
Morris was preceded in passing by his brothers Claude Ray, and Richard Ray.
Those left to cherish the memories of the life of Morris Ray include his wife Harriette Davis Ray; Two sons Eric (Heather) Keith of Gaston and Linell Riley of Swansea, SC; Two stepsons Eddie Cioleman Jr and Rogerick Jenkins of Columbia, SC; One daughter Keisha Coleman of Swansea, SC; Two sisters Mary Ray of Columbia, and Janie Middleton of Pelion, SC; Four brothers Eugene Frank Ray of Columbia, SC, Nathaniel Ray of Columbia, SC, Amos (Lorine) of Georgia, and Selvester Ray of Pelion, SC; one sister in law Barbara Ray of Pelion, SC; 18 grands and a host of nieces, nephews, other family members and loved ones.
