Monty Eugene Clevenger, 83, formerly of Eaton, died on October 27, 2021 at his home in Union City.
Monty was born on September 7, 1938 in Indiana to Donald and Pauline (Bilbly) Clevenger. He graduated from Albany High School in 1956 and married Elizabeth Reynolds. Together they would raise their four children in Eaton.
Monty owned and operated Quality Hydraulics in Eaton for many years. He was well known for his ability to fix or build anything. He enjoyed racing cars, painting pictures and relaxing at his camper by the lake.
Later in life, he married and shared his life with Roberta. Monty is also survived by his daughter Debra Reed (Mike); his sister, Sandra Jo Penrod; grandsons: James Brown (Emily) and Anthony Brown; two step-daughters, Sondra Huntwork (Greg) and Connie Edwards; two nephews: Tony Penrod (Stacey Murray) and Greg Penrod (Debbie); niece, Janet White (Brian); as well as several step-grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
In addition to his parents, Monty was preceded in death by two sons, Timothy Clevenger and Scott Clevenger, a daughter, Shari Clevenger and a brother-in-law, Bob Penrod.
Monty’s family invites his friends and those that knew Monty to gather in his memory from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m.
