Dr.. A native of Bruce, MS, she was a Salesperson for Sears and a member of First Baptist Church of Picayune. Montez was a member of the Keenagers and the Friendship Choir at First Baptist Church of Picayune. She was a member of Dr. Watson’s Sunday School Class. She was preceded in death by her parents, Charles Martin and Dovie Neighbors Martin; her husband, James G. Tapley; and her brothers and sister, Hansel Martin, Juanice Pearson, and Hayden Martin. Survivors include her son, James L. Tapley and wife Connie; 2 grandchildren, Randy Tapley and wife Cindy, and Rhonda Welch and husband Jeff; and 1 great grandson, Ezekiel Tatum.
