Those left to honor Monte’s memory are his wife, Dena of Baxter; 2 sons, Dalton and Cole Kinzel, both of Baxter; his 2 brothers, Mike (and Deb) Kinzel of Des Moines, Iowa and Stuart (and Mykele) Kinzel of Houston, Texas; sister, Lora (and Jeff) Fuss of Pratt, Kansas; his mother-in-law, Janice Roughton; sisters-in-law, Lisa (and Terry)Cook of Shawnee, Kansas and Fran (and Neil) Werth of Great Bend, Kansas; and his many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, G. David and Charlotte L. (Lake) Kinzel; maternal and paternal grandparents; father-in-law; and brother-in-law, Scott Roughton.
Monte was a graduate of Great Bend High School in Great Bend, Kansas in 1983. He was the parts manager for Colfax Tractor Parts, Inc. in Colfax, Iowa for 20 years.
He was a City Councilman in Baxter and volunteer on the School Improvement Advisory Committee and the Wellness Center.
