Monta Mae Norris Ririe
1937-2022
Monta Mae Norris Ririe was reunited with Farrell, her eternal companion, on Aug. 19, 2022. Monta was born in Ogden, UT on May 12, 1937. She was the daughter of Wm. Garth Norris and Nettie Mae Nielsen. She graduated from Ben Lomond High School and LDS Seminary.
She married D. Farrell Ririe in the Salt Lake Temple on Sept. 21, 1956. They have 5 children, Stephen (Jolene), Susan (Ray) Judkins, Shari (Garth) Tuck, Shelly (Don) Manning, Scott (Jan), 21 grandchildren, 25 great grandchildren with another on the way.
She loved and dedicated her life to her family, supporting her children and grandchildren in any activity they were involved with. She was our ultimate cheerleader! She loved to dance, play and watch sports, garden, visit with friends–especially her “Club” ladies. She also loved traveling with her family (but not in an airplane).
She is survived by her children, grandchildren, great grandchildren, 2 siblings Roy (Ilene) Norris, Curt Norris, 2 sisters-in-law Alanna Norris and Ramona Norris. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, and 3 brothers, Dave, John, and Jimmy, and a sister-in-law Becky Norris.
