Msgr. Seli was born September 24, 1921 in Pittsburgh, the son of John and Emma Seli. He entered into eternal life on July 3, 2015. Educated at Holy Innocents Grade School, Central Catholic High School and Duquesne University, He attended St. Vincent College and Seminary. He was ordained at St. Vincent Archabbey in June, 1946. He was assistant pastor at Sacred Heart Parish from 1946 until 1953. From 1953 until 1958 he was assistant pastor at St. Peter Parish on the North Side. From 1958 until 1968 he was Chaplain at The John Kane Hospital. In 1968 he was appointed pastor of St. Mary Parish, Lawrenceville. That same year he was appointed Papal Chamberlain with the title of Rev. Msgr. In 1974, Msgr. Seli founded and became the chairman and director of the Natural Family Planning Federation of America in Washington, D.C. From1977 until 1979, he was the director, Education Department, Human Life and Natural Family Planning Foundation in Washington, D.C. Msgr. Seli returned to Pittsburgh in1979 where he was pastor of St.
