Monica Rombalski, 95, of Algona, Iowa, formerly of Independence, Wis., died Friday, February 22, 2013 at Algona Good Samaritan Care Center. She was born April 16, 1917 in Hale Township, Trempealeau County, to Frank and Catherine “Kate” (Roskos) Rombalski. She attended parochial school in Independence and her last two years of high school in Necedah, Wis. Monica had a lifelong career as a housekeeper for priests from the age of 15 serving in Wisconsin with her brother, Rev. Peter Rombalski and in Iowa since 1952. Monica loved to read and had a personal interest in the care of the altar and vestments of the priests. She also taught C.C.D. Survivors include nieces and nephews.
