Monica L. Regula, 50, of Columbus, formerly of Burlington, passed away from complications of a lengthy illness surrounded by her family and friends on Thursday in Cooper Hospital. She was a longtime Burlington resident. She graduated from Holy Cross HS Class of 1979, where she played softball and was a very talented pitcher, who once had a no-hitter. Monica was a diehard Phillies fan. She loved shopping, going to the Jersey shore, having a good meal at the Crab Trap in Somers Point and spending time with “Bailey”. Purple was her color. Thanksgiving was her favorite holiday and being with Bob and family gave her great joy.

Over the past 28 years Monica had survived cancer but dealt with heart issues as a result. Through it all Monica did it with grace and dignity. She was predeceased by her parents Frank G. “Whitey” and Loretta (Nee: Wagner) Regula. She is survived by her loving husband and loving family: Robert Lawrence of Columbus; brother Frank T. and Paula McMillian of Westampton, sisters Lorraine and Don Rose of Burlington, Diane and Tracey Evans of Burlington Twp, step-son Jason Lawrence and step-grandson Jason both of Medford; great aunt Victoria Ritz of Salem, MA and many family members and friends who will miss her dearly.

Monica’s family would like to express a special “Thank You” to Dr. Frederick Ginsberg for his care and support through the years.
