Monica Yvonne Fikes, 77, passed away July 31st, 2015 in Destin, Florida.
Born in El Paso Texas, she graduated from Ysleta High School 1955 and was a member of the Ysleta drum corp.
Monica is survived by her beloved son, Richard (Patsy) Fikes, of Puerto la Cruz, Venezuela; daughter, Tracee Gord (Jim Turnpaugh), of Destin, Florida; grandchildren, Travis (Jordan) Fikes, of Ocean Springs, Mississippi, Tyler Fikes, of El Paso, Texas and Hannah Gord, of Destin, Florida.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Charles and Rosary Tafoya Brown; husband, Alfred Fikes; brothers, Charles and Tom Brown; sisters, Rosemarie Uribe and Barbara Wasiewski.
