Mona Smith, 77, of Indianapolis most recently Greenwood, passed away on Saturday October 21st at home surrounded by family. She is preceded in death by her husband of 53 years, Leland Smith and her sister.
Mona was a retired registered nurse. She began her nursing career in 1960 as a pediatric nurse. She spent much of her career at Riley Children’s Hospital until her retirement in 1999.
She was a wonderful mother and grandmother. Mona is survived by her three children: David (Kathy) Smith, Angelie Ryah, and Leann Beckner; six grandchildren: Lisa Smith, Andrea Smith, David (Bobbi) Smith, Jordan Beckner, Cameron Beckner and Nicholas Beckner; one great-grandchild and three step-great grandchildren.
