Mr. Aguilar died Friday, July 30, 2021 in a Temple Hospital. Mr. Aguilar was born September 4, 1940 in Robstown, the son of Fidel Aguilar, Sr. and Guadalupe Herrera Aguilar. He married Raquel Chapa, July 17, 1961 in Robstown.  They made their home in Belton 53 years ago. He was a member of the Catholic Church.

Moises H. Aguilar beloved husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather, brother, friend passed on July 30, 2021, in a Temple hospital.

He was a hardworking man. He worked as a welder before starting his long career as a truck driver. He was a self-employed owner operator and worked for Morgan Drive Away, West Star Transportation and Bennett Transportation.

He was a friend to all, constantly extending himself to those in need. He was a genuine family man, who was extremely proud of his children and grandchildren. He is the true representation of a father, grandfather, and great grandfather, providing an example for us all.

He was an outdoorsman, loved bow hunting, he organized a javelina hog hunt in south Texas for 35 years for bow hunters. He loved camping, truck driving, working on vehicles and anything else he could fix. He loved listening to Conjunto music and spending time with his family and friends.

He was also a hero recognized by the Bell County Sheriff’s Department in 2002 for assisting with the rescue of Deputy Hernandez from his car.

The lessons learned will stay with us forever.

He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother, Saragosa Aguilar and one sister Cathie Delgado.

Survivors include his wife of 60 years, Raquel Aguilar of Belton, two sons Moises Aguilar Jr. and wife Jeanette of Austin and Aldo Aguilar and wife Veronica of Belton; one daughter Marisol Aguilar of Belton; two brothers Fidel Aguilar Jr  and Inez Aguilar, both of Belton; four sisters Magdalena Garza of Belton, Susie Carrasco of Belton, Vincenta Herrera of Moody and Lina Mendez of Belton; nine grandchildren Clarissa Vargas, Jeremy Zimmerman, Moises Aguilar III, Ryan Hileman, Vincent Aguilar, Alec Aguilar, Jezzie Gracia, Christopher Trevino and Sabrina Diaz; eight great grandchildren and faithful companion dog Chloe.
