Mitch Ellis Dunn of Vicksburg, Michigan, passed away at his home on Wednesday, September 23rd, 2020, at the age of 31.

Mitch was born August 27th, 1989 to David and Kristin Dunn in Kalamazoo Michigan.

Mitch spent most of his adult years working in the restaurant industry and most recently in manufacturing at Stewart Sutherland in Vicksburg, Michigan.

Mitch was a gentle soul who had a knack for making anyone laugh. He had a unique sense of humor that couldn’t be imitated. Mitch Genuinely had a deep love for his family and his friends and could light up the room with his witty jokes and loving personality. He loved to learn new skills and spend time with his nieces and nephews. Mitch was proud to be a father and an uncle. Mitch had a way of turning even the darkest of situations into opportunities. His survival and adaptation abilities were second to none.

From an early age, Mitch loved art. He had a skill for drawing and sketching that was awe-inspiring. In his later years, Mitch loved being outdoors, enjoying rounds of disc golf. Music was also a big part of his life, he listened to and enjoyed almost every genre that you could imagine. He found strength and inspiration in his music. Mitch had an enormous heart for animals, especially dogs. He could befriend any dog he came across. Mitch will be remembered for the enormous size of his heart and the passion he had for everything did in his time here on earth. Most importantly, Mitch gave his life to Christ as a young man at Camp Barakel. Mitch is now free of all the earthly burdens that fell so heavy on his shoulders. He is liberated and now resting in the loving embrace of Christ our Father.

Mitch is survived by his son, Mason Hayes, TX; his father David (Christine) Dunn of Vicksburg, MI; his mother Kristin Dunn of Lawton, MI; brother Ryan (Andrea) Dunn of Niles, MI; grandparents Jerl (Mary) Dunn of Linden, TX; Katherine Fellheimer of Paw Paw, MI; Aunt Rebecca (Mark) Durham of Battle Creek, MI; aunt Shirley Carey of Irving, TX; aunt Melissa (Randy) Burns of Linden, TX; uncle Jerl (Ladonna) Dunn of Bosier City, LA and many nieces, nephews, and extended family.

Mitch is preceded in death by his grandparents, George and Marjory Mitchener of Kalamazoo, MI.
