Freeport – Misty (Krumwiede) Levenick, 48, of Freeport passed away at home on Tuesday, December 29th with her family at her side. She was born on February 17, 1972, to Irene (Handley) and the late Gary Krumwiede. She attended New Covenant Academy for High School and graduated valedictorian in 1990. She attended Highland Community College and married John Levenick on August 17, 1992, in Freeport.  She managed the Serendipity Candy Store in Freeport for 19 years.

Misty loved all animals, especially cats including her own, Pepper, Static, Dave, and Smudge. She was active in the Pagan Community and was a practicing witch and an educator within the craft, particularly in the healing properties of plants and herbs.  She was a member of many online communities.  She also loved to cook, knit, crochet, paint, draw, and garden. She was very active in theater and fine arts while in college. She was also a trained vocalist and loved to sing.  She is described as a very compassionate person towards others. She touched many lives and left behind many friends from all over the globe.

She is survived by her mother Irene, her husband, and her three sons, Brandon, Ardan, and Evan Levenick.  Her brother, Michael Krumwiede of Madison also survives her.  She also has a half-sister, Paula, and a half-brother, Gary Krumwiede Jr. both of TX.

She is preceded in death by her father and both sets of Grandparents.
