Melissa “Missy” Renee Kus, of St. Johns, died on February 5, 2024 at Sparrow Hospital after a brief illness. She was 49 years old.Missy was born on June 9, 1974 in St. Johns, Michigan, the oldest of three children born to Daniel Kus of Perrinton and Mary (Fox) Kus of St. Johns. She graduated from St. Johns High School and attended Kendall, Lansing Community College, and the Center for Creative Studies. Missy was an extraordinary artist who specialized in oil painting and demonstrated a keen understanding of color.
