Missionary Rosetta Hendry departed this life on October 23, 2022. Rosetta was born on February 28, 1940 in Liberty County Georgia to the late Rudolph Harley and Sallie Baker Harley.  Rosetta was the eldest of ten children. Rosetta attended Liberty County High School [L.C.H.S.]. Upon graduating from L.C.H.S. she moved to New York. Some time after moving to New York she received the Lord as her personal Savior.

Later on Rosetta met the love of her life, Louis Hendry and they were joined in holy matrimony on June 4, 1961. And to this union were born Edwin Louis and Rudy Verdell Hendry.  She was employed by Chock-Full O’Nuts Restaurant, Western Electric, and the New York City Housing Authority.  She received a Teacher’s Training Certificate and a Counseling Certificate from the Community Bible Institute; a General Bible Certificate from the Tabernacle Bible Institute; and a Psychology of Counseling Certificate from the Mt. Olive Bible Institute.

In 2004 Rosetta was called to the ministry.  She continued to serve in the prison and nursing home ministries.  She was also a Youth Sunday School Teacher.

Among others, Rosetta was preceded in death by her parents Rudolph Harley and Sallie Baker-Harley, her sister Vivian Delores Burke, her brother-in-law Billy James; her brother Rudolph Henry Harley, her sister Muriel Harley, her brother-in-law William A. Maddox, her sister Christine Yvonne Davis, and her nephews Rodney E. Saunders and Donald F. James.
