Audrey Mary Jemison died May 21, 2010, age 86. She was preceded in death by her parents John Walter Jemison and Amelia Gresse Jemison, her sister Theresa Jemison Fitzmorris, her brother-in-law John D. Fitzmorris and a nephew Michael F. Fitzmorris. She is survived by three nephews, John D. Fitzmorris, Jr., (Kay), Terrence W. Fitzmorris (Mary), Dennis K. Fitzmorris (Rosalie) and a great-nephew Michael B. Fitzmorris and numerous great-nieces and nephews and friends. She was the valedictorian of the class of 1941 of Holy Name of Jesus High School. Ms. Jemison was an executive secretary at Texas Transport and Terminal, the Board of Commissioners of the Port of New Orleans and Ryan-Walsh Stevedoring. She was a member of St. Dominic Parish and the Ladies Auxiliary of the Knights of Columbus, St. Dominic Council 3729. A native and livelong resident of New Orleans.
