Mirl was born March 4, 1963, in Morgan County, Alabama to the late H.W. and Mattie Florence Bibb Lampkin. He went home to be with the Lord on Friday, December 18, 2015, surrounded by his family at Decatur Morgan Hospital.
He was preceded in death by his parents and brother, Larry Lampkin.
He is survived by his wife, Veronica J. Lampkin; children, Peyton Florence Lampkin and Miles Percel Buford; two sisters, Harriett Lampkin-Orr and Antonia Lampkin of Decatur; three brothers, Eddie and John Lampkin of Decatur and Chester Lampkin of Hartselle; father and mother-in-law, George and Wilma Stone of Decatur; three godchildren, Dustin Billings, Briley Terry and Deonte Brown all of Decatur; and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
