Miriam Claire Horne, 86, of Paradise Valley passed away on March 18, 2016. Miriam was born in St. Louis, Missouri and raised in Kennett, Missouri. In 1954, Miriam moved to Arizona making it her permanent home. She is survived by her husband Gail of 52 years, daughters Andrea Lindus, Christy Larkin, Elise D’Apuzzo (Christopher), stepsons John W. Horne (Stella), Robert C. Horne (Cheryl), 5 grandchildren, and staunch protector Cocoa her poodle. Even though Miriam lived in Arizona, she proudly and successfully farmed land in Arkansas and Missouri for 56 years. Always impeccably dressed, Miriam enjoyed her independence which included traveling to horse shows with her daughters and skiing down the slopes. Those fortunate enough to know Miriam will miss her wisdom and wonderful sense of humor.
