Died Friday afternoon November 22, 2019. Miriam was born January 3, 1925 in Ft. Wayne, Indiana, a daughter of Samuel and Ida (Schwartz) Becker. She had been a Kalamazoo area resident most of her life and was an active member of Congregation of Moses.
Miriam was preceded in death by her parents; her husband Ben Brot on December 22, 1996; a sister and brother-in-law, Pearl (Solomon) Heytow; brother, David Becker; and a brother-in-law, Herbert Cane. She is survived by 2 children, Ronald (Linda) Brot of Los Angeles, CA and Gail Brot of Kalamazoo; 4 grandchildren, Izzy, Dimitri, Nicole Lowery, and Shadow; a great-grandchild, Eliza Lowery; a sister, Shirley Cane of Los Angeles, CA; special friends, Willie Williams and Dr. James Breneman both of Kalamazoo; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
