Minnie W. Holstein, age 98, of Wisconsin Rapids, formerly of rural Vesper, passed away on Tuesday, October 4, 2022 at Arborview Court in Wisconsin Rapids.
Minnie was born March 4, 1924 in Birnamwood, WI to Klaas and Cora (Van Prooyen) Vlietstra. She married Henry “Hank” Holstein on April 2, 1948 in Birnamwood. He passed away on May 31, 2018.
Minnie worked in production at Kerry Ingredients in Vesper, WI for 14 years. She also was a partner with Hank on the family dairy farm in Sigel. She was a devout Christian and was a former member of New Hope Community Church and later Faith Reformed Church.
Minnie is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Pamela (Christopher) Barney of Franklin, WI; two sisters: Carolyn (Ken) Holzem of Wausau, WI and Corrine (Jerry) Spatz of Kronenwetter, WI; and many nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Hank; sisters: Henrietta Fraaza, Grace Merriam, and Jeanette Anklam; and brother, Jacob Vlietstra.
The family would like to give a special thanks to the “Angels” at River Run Assisted Living and Arborview Court for the love and kindness they showered upon Minnie every day and the wonderful care they provided.
