Minnie West Green, 86, of Elkhart, died at 12:10 p.m. Wednesday (April 16, 2008) in Riverside Village. She had been in declining health.
She was born July 9, 1921, in Dyersburg, Tenn., to West and Minnie Lane.
Miss Green is survived by several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by four sisters, LaVerne Lily, Bert Barnes, Virginia Moore and Edith Bell; and three brothers, Bobby, Billy and James Lane.
Miss Green was a housekeeper most of her life and helped families with elder care in their homes. She was a longtime member of Canaan Baptist Church. She enjoyed outings with her large extended family, cooking and reading.
