The Life of Minnie Lou Keith
Minnie Lou Keith was born on November 24, 1920 to Ella Anna Thornton and Otis Thornton in Smyrna, Georgia. She passed away peacefully on December 20, 2014. She was one of nine children. Minnie was a resident of Prince George’s County, MD since 1948.
In 1943 she married George Keith of Canton, GA. Of this union, a son Bradley Edward Keith was born. The family lived in Seat Pleasant, MD and later moved to Lanham, Md. Minnie worked at Lincoln Elementary School as a Librarian and later retired from Civil Service. Her hobbies were baking, bridge, needle point, sewing and gardening.
Minnie was a devoted member of First Baptist Church of Highland Park Maryland since 1963 and served on the Nurses Ministry.
Minnie is survived by her son Bradley (Karen), five grandchildren – Adam (Tiffany), Bradley (Amanda), Cody (Michelle), Portia (Mike), and Jeremy, twelve great-grandchildren, and a host of loving relatives and dear friends.
