Minnie Johanna (Dornath) Knudtson, the daughter of John and Meinhardine (Zimmerman) Dornath, was born on November 16, 1924 on a farm near Palmer, Iowa. She attended country schools near Gilmore City and Bradgate thru the 8th grade. Minnie graduated from Bradgate High School and Nurses Training at the University of Iowa in 1947.
