Details: Minnie “Ellen” Russell, 77, a 54 year resident of Pasadena died on May 4, 2015 at her son’s residence. She was born on April 20, 1938 in Parsons, WV to the late Oscar and Vena Taylor. Mrs. Russell graduated high school in Baltimore and then attended Maryland Institute of Art in the late 1950’s. She got her AA degree from Anne Arundel Community College in the early 1970’s. Mrs. Russell was self-employed and owned in Ellen’s Custom Draperies Ellen was a member of the Baltimore Water Color Society and the Annapolis Water Color Society. She won many awards from various art shows and gave private water color lessons. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Russell is preceded in death by her husband of 50 years Donald R. Russell and three brothers. She is survived by her sons Timothy P. Russell and his wife Melinda of Pasadena and Donald N. Russell and his wife Sherry of Pasadena, and her grandchildren Dane N. Russell, Devon N. Russell and Wayne Overstreet.
