Mina Viola Anderson Stout, 95, passed away August 4th at Chariton Nursing & Rehab Center.
Mina was born on September 19, 1917, the 5th child of Lon Anderson and Maude Mae Reynolds Anderson in Taylor County, Iowa.
Lon Anderson moved his family to Lucas County when Mina was 2 years old.
On December 30, 1936 Mina married Everett Stout.
They farmed three farms in Lucas, and then lived on the Lucas Marion county line for 13 years.
They moved to Chariton in 1956.
She did various jobs over the years, but her main interest was her family and friends.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Everett, her parents, four brothers, Walter, Chestly, Junior and Arthur; and her sister, Agnes.
She is survived by children, Phyllis Ann (Keith) Arnold of Corydon and Fred Duaine (Lupita) Stout of Brownsville, TX; grandchildren, Alvin (Nancy) Arnold, Joan Hardcastle, Tammie Stout and Sherry Stout; brother, Violas Anderson of Chariton and sister, Doris Ryan of Boone.
