Milton O’Neal Powell, 62, died April 19, 2014, at Mobile Infirmary. He was a Leroy High School graduate of 1970. Milton played football and baseball in high school. Milton drove a bus back and forth to Patrick Henry, Monroeville , AL, (as it was called back in the day). He earned a BS degree in accounting and administration from Troy State Redwave College (now Troy State Trojans). He worked for a state accounting firm in Georgia until he saw how much money his friends were making in construction (he realized their toys were bigger than his toys, pick-up trucks, that is)!! After this discovery, Milton started working in construction as a pipe fitter and continued that for 20 plus years. After that, he became a Certified Welding Inspector working with Quality Control. He loved his family and they loved him too. Milton was always wearing his cowboy boots and always being a good Samaritan.
