Milton Joseph Budreau, Jr., “Misko Binesii” meaning “Red Hawk”, Indoodem (Bear Clan), age 67 of Cass Lake, MN began his journey to the spirit world from his home on Thursday, January 27th, 2022.

Milton was born in Cass Lake, MN on July 22nd, 1954, to Loretta (Jones) and Milton Budreau, Sr.  In his childhood years and as he grew into a young man he followed the Episcopal Church, as he was taught by his mother. In his elder years, Milton began to practice his Anishinabe culture, which he was very proud of. He enjoyed smoking his pipe and having talking circles, smudging, burning sage, cedar and sweetgrass and listening to his nephews sing on the drum. Milton loved to travel whenever possible, including just riding around town in his wheelchair to visit with his friends and family. Milton’s spirit will be forever missed.

Family welcoming Milton to the spirit world are his parents, Loretta and Milton Budreau, Sr.; sister, Brenda Budreau; grandparents, Jacob and Elsie Jones and Joseph and Jane Budreau and numerous other family members.

He leaves behind his children, Milton (Alaina) Budreau III of Bemidji, Antonio Roy of Bemidji, Cynthia Swan of Cass Lake, Nikki Swan of Cass Lake and Sophia Budreau of Cass Lake, brothers, Roger Dennis, Robert J., Anthony and Harold (Carol Fairbanks) Budreau all of Cass Lake; sisters, Linda (Rod Beaulieu) Fairbanks and Elsie Budreau both of Minneapolis, grandchildren, Christopher, Kaelyn, Sky Finn, Darnell Robinson, John Torgeson, Jr., Rose Dunkley, Lily Edwards, Danielle and Elijah Swan, Waabizii “Waabz” Budreau, Karmen Roy and Zigwan Hephner, several great grandchildren; uncle, Dopey Budreau; lifetime friend, Bev Swan and many nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
