Mr. Boyd, a resident of San Diego for more than fifty-seven years and a retired Maintenance Supervisor of Convair/General Dynamics, passed away early Tuesday morning, July 7, 2015.

MILTON BOYD was born on December 17, 1928 in Helena, Arkansas to Edward and Virginia Boyd. He was the third child of seven siblings, which included his twin brother, Felton. He received his formal education through the Helena Unified School District. Milton, who was raised in a God fearing home, accepted Christ as his Lord and Savior and was baptized at a young age.

In 1948, Milton met and married Earline Hodges. This union was blessed with three sons. Milton was employed for many years with the McKnight Tire Company in West Helena.

Milton later met and married Rosie Lee Hood in 1956. In 1958, the two relocated to San Diego, California. Their union was blessed with four children.

Milton loved and adored his wife, children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. He was a great story teller and he loved to reminisce with family and friends about the good old days. He was known for his excellence in cooking. He made the best “out of this world” bar-b-que, banana pudding and pecan pie! Milton will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.

He was preceded in death by both of his parents; three brothers, Herbert, Lanfrey and Felton Boyd.

On Tuesday, July 7, 2015, Milton Boyd was called from earthly labor to eternal rest. He leaves to cherish his memory, his beloved wife of fifty-eight years, Rosie Lee Boyd; nine children, Nacoties Boyd (Debra), Melton Boyd, Jr.
